The Great British Care Awards
The Great British Care Awards celebrate care sector excellence throughout the UK and pay tribute to outstanding carers. Since 2009, the care awards have recognised individuals and teams who have done great work and made a positive impact across the sector, including home care, care homes, local authorities and child services.
The Durham team at Blossom Home Care were shortlisted for no fewer than 10 of the 21 care award categories in the 2025 North East finals.

We are proud to announce that Eryn Upton and Joanna Fitzpatrick from the Durham team won their nominations and, as regional finalists in their respective categories, will both attend the national finals in Birmingham in February 2026. Well done to Eryn and Joanna for making the Great British Care Awards 2025 North East winners list!

The Care Assessor Award — Joanna Fitzpatrick

Blossom Home Care Individual Commendations
More Blossom staff members were highly commended in several other regional categories of the 2025 Great British Care Awards. Olumide Dada, Roberta Chapman and Tracy Dunn all received glowing praise from the judges for their work in care, which includes supporting clients in their homes as well as coordinating our care teams back at Durham Blossom HQ.

The North East finals were a phenomenal success, enjoyed by everyone who attended from the Durham team, but this was not the first time that Blossom Home Care has been recognised for our carers’ incredible work.
