Treating Our Carers Properly and Fairly
Find home care near you
Since Blossom’s inception in 2015, we’ve been on a mission to redefine the home care experience. This has been made possible thanks to our six key approaches: bespoke care plans, holistic caring, giving carers the time to care, promoting independence with compassionate care, providing total transparency of care delivery with our industry-leading app and, perhaps most importantly, our caring team.
We understand that delivering high-quality care requires professionals who are truly passionate about treating you with respect and compassion. This is why we prioritise our carers so they can prioritise you.
What We Look For in a Blossom Carer
We actively recruit carers with relatable experience who are eager to expand their knowledge and skillset with continuous training and further qualifications. They will embody the qualities of a great carer; being passionate, respectful, caring, patient and confident to deliver the best possible care. All of our carers are DBS and criminal records checked too, so that you feel comfortable inviting them into your home and day-to-day life.
We are constantly on a mission to recruit the best carers who want to make a difference and join Blossom’s award-winning home care team. We know that happy carers make for happy clients, so we strive to create a genuinely welcoming work environment, with better pay and schedules, so that Blossom carers can focus on the job they do so well. Good carers also want ‘time to care’, so the minimum 50-minute visit works for them too.
All our carers are 18 years old or over, eligible to work in the UK and speak English fluently. Carers will also usually have a valid driver’s licence and access to a car.

How Our Carers Make a Difference
When we match our carers with you, we ensure their skillset and training are compatible with your needs, so they can do the best possible job. We also encourage professional relationships so carers with similar backgrounds or interests work with you. This helps to ensure that our carers are trusted to deliver care and that care is personalised to each client.
Furthermore, our management team oversees your bespoke care plan by conducting regular spot checks, regular reviews and monitoring care times to ensure care is consistently delivered as you want it. Our carers and management team work together to reduce any worries or anxieties, offering 24/7 support through on-call staff and responders.
At Blossom, we are committed to meeting every appointment, no matter what, so we can deliver your care as promised. We do this by agreeing on set visit times at the assessment. This means all our carers also work to a set schedule which provides a structure for their day, sadly lacking in some other environments. And, because every visit lasts a minimum of 50 minutes, Blossom carers have time to meet all your needs at an easy pace and still have time for that all-important conversation before leaving to go to their next visit.
