As revealed in a recent article by The Guardian, care workers in some council districts are taking as little as three minutes to help hundreds of vulnerable people in their own homes – despite families paying for a full visit to oversee their loved ones’ care.

Other individuals in need were found to have been allocated care visits lasting just 15 minutes, despite The Homecare Association, which represents care providers nationwide, labelling such short visits as “inappropriately short” that result in inadequate care and additional stress for workers placed under “unfair pressure”.

Sadly, we hear about such care providers with no standards or values all too often. This is simply no way to treat friends and family members who are in dire need of genuine care and attention in order to feel safe, comfortable, and above all else happy in their own home.
