We are all really excited here at Blossom Home Care because this coming Saturday (17th November 2018), we’ll be on our way to the National Railway Museum in York for the Great British Care Awards Regional Final (Yorkshire and Humberside Region).
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England held to celebrate excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The awards are inclusive, bringing together the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers; promoting joint working. There are 21 categories in total, representing all areas of the social care sector, covering specialist services, elderly care, residential care and home care. Frontline staff, such as care workers and care managers will be recognised as well as people who have made an impact in other ways in the care sector, e.g. training and innovation. As you can imagine, therefore, we are entered into a number of Awards.
Under the theme “Strictly Come Caring”, the evening promises to celebrate excellence in Social Care and we are sure it will be a fantastic event. Having gotten this far, it would be great for Blossom Home Care to be bringing back at least one Award from the evening! We’ll keep you posted as to how we get on.
