Five reasons care workers should join Blossom Home Care
We’re on a mission to recruit the very best carers in the country. If you possess our five essential key skills – confidence, passion, respect, care and patience – here are five reasons Blossom Home Care is the right choice for you:
1) Feel valued with better pay
We are among the best paying care-in-the-home providers in the country. In March 2022 we raised our flat rate of pay for carers to up to £14 per hour, with mileage and 10-minutes travel time also covered. Additionally we offer a flexible working environment, with full-time and part-time roles available.
2) Create genuine connections with clients
Every single one of your home visits will last a minimum of 50 minutes, and often much longer. This allows you to really get to know who you are caring for and create deep, meaningful connections which also significantly improve clients’ wellbeing.
3) Enjoy your routine, rather than stressing about it
Being stressed at work isn’t beneficial to anyone, so we work tirelessly to ensure your schedules are achievable, engaging, and above all else enjoyable. We want you to look forward to coming to work and doing what you do best: delivering quality care.
4) Deliver an holistic approach to care
Our carers pride themselves on providing all-round holistic care to every single client, ensuring their unique needs and wants are met. So whether that’s helping clients enjoy hobbies, keeping active with a trip outside, or perhaps even reliving a precious childhood memory, providing meaningful human contact makes for happy, healthier clients.
5) Receive expert training and support
We ensure you are always equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support you need to do your job to the very best of your abilities. Amongst your many employee benefits is help with your continuous personal development and qualifications – including funded NVQs – should you wish to progress your career further.
In addition, we recognise that caring for clients can at times be a draining experience. That’s why you will always have 24/7 support from our incredibly friendly and experienced team, whenever you need it.
Carer requirements
Our carers must:
- Be 18+ years old
- Be able to speak English fluently
- Be eligible to work within the UK
Previous home care experience is desired but not essential, as comprehensive in-depth training is provided as part of achieving your Care Certificate.
Please note that all roles are subject to pre-employment DBS checks.
