We are pleased to report that John and Fiona were in Birmingham earlier this month. They were invited to attend the Great British Care Awards Patrons Dinner where aside from enjoying a lovely meal, they also met lots of people from the care industry, making the event great for networking too.
It was also judging day for the National Great British Care Awards, which are scheduled to take place on 20th March in Birmingham. The Northallerton team had been nominated for the Palliative Care award and Fiona was flying the flag for Blossom for the Outstanding Contribution to Care award (more on that when the results are in). Both Fiona and the Palliative Care team had won the regional finals, which meant they were entered into the National Awards. Everyone is extremely excited about this as it will result in another trip to Birmingham in March too.
We are extremely proud to say that Fiona and John were also on the award judging panel later that afternoon, so it was an extremely full agenda for them both. Everything went well though and now we all just have our fingers crossed for the National finals. Good luck to Fiona and the Northallerton Palliative Care team. It will be great if you can go all the way; however, you’ve done exceptionally well to get as far as you already have!
