At Blossom Home Care we are already working hard, especially given the current circumstances. Moving forward it does look as though we’ll be working even harder in the future. As a true alternative to elderly residential care, we have found that enquiries for home care have increased lately, which means increased demand for ‘bloomin’ good’ carers.
“Demand for the service is such that we are currently recruiting to find the very best carers in the areas we cover”, says John Leggott, Blossom’s co-founder. “To ensure we recruit the very best carers, we pay one of the very best rates, and right now we have full-time and part-time hours available. So, my message to anyone out there currently working in care, and good at it, is call Blossom today.”
Our new recruitment campaign
To echo these sentiments, we’ve recently launched a new recruitment campaign under the banner “We need you and they need you, too”. Using carers and clients, the campaign is video based so people can see and hear what our carers and clients think about the service and working with Blossom Home Care. It is hoped that the videos will encourage more of the right type of carers to get in touch because right now we need them. We have also booked a radio recruitment campaign with Global’s Capital and Heart brands, and with Minster FM in York to further bolster the campaign.
Our business is blossoming
Blossom Home Care is now on target to deliver in excess of 100,000 visits from their Northallerton and Tadcaster base this year. That’s a lot of bloomin’ good care to the elderly residents of South Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire, and South Yorkshire. Registered Nurse Fiona and her farmer husband John Leggott have seen their business blossom since its launch. The couple now employ a team of 70 carers, all of whom help people that need care to live independent lives in their own homes.
Blossom understands the importance of home and that elderly folk can be fiercely independent about remaining at home. Blossom help to facilitate this, whilst enabling the people they look after to partake in the activities that can improve their quality of life. And it’s a philosophy that does seem to be working, as demand for the service is high. So, if you are truly passionate about delivering the highest standards of care, talk to us about becoming a Blossom carer because we need you and they need you, too.
